Our Park Royal class 103 DMU prepares to leave the West Somerset Railway.

Friday May 19th 2006 saw the Diesel and Electric Preservation Group (DEPG) based at Williton on the West Somerset Railway (WSR) move the HRDG's class 103 DMU from its storage location in Williton North Yard to Bishops Lydeard. The unit will leave Bishops Lydeard by road to its new home in Cornwall.

The unit was dragged from Williton to Bishops Lydeard by the DEPG's class 25 locomotive number D7523 'John F Kennedy'. The train conveyed a runner wagon behind the DMU and then mark one coach 21174 acting as a brake van. 03119 was used at Williton to help make up the train before its departure to Bishops Lydeard shortly after 15:00.

On arrival at Bishops Lydeard the class 25 placed the class 103 power car 50413 into the compound ready for loading onto a road vehicle on Monday. Trailor car 56169 was shunted to a siding by black liveried class 08 no D3462. The trailor car will leave Bishops Lydeard by road on the Tuesday.
